This black ceramic kalimba was handmade. It was shaped like a drum in order to provide an easy way to hold it when playing. It is covered in black glass, with hints of yellow, orange, red, and blue. The keys were cut and filed by hand. The top is birch - it was sanded, stained, and sealed.

The kalimba comes with a piezo electric pickup installed for easy amplification.
