Gold Kalimba - Ceramic Shell with Goat Skin Top
This gold 15-key kalimba has a ceramic shell thrown on the potter's wheel, glazed in metallic gold. The soundboard was carved out of 3-ply pine and birch, and the spring steel keys were hand shaped and tuned. A goat skin has been stretched over the top of the instrument to provide significantly louder tones with more sustain than a normal kalimba. This instrument is very sensitive and very loud when you want it to be.
