This ceramic drum has a thick goat-skin head on it with white fur. It's sound is woody, round and very loud, due to the hardness of the ceramic. The piece is stoneware, fired at 2200 degrees. Finished with brown and covered in transparent white drops, this stoneware ceramic piece is beautiful and functional. The drum weighs 12 lbs, and is 22 inches tall and 8 inches wide. The drum rests comfortably between your legs and can be tapped with the fingers, slapped, flicked, or hit in any other manner with the hands. The head is durable and heat-tunable.
